Marietta is a city in Cobb County, Georgia. It was founded in 1823 and has a population of approximately 61,497 people. Marietta is one of the largest cities in the state and has some of the most beautiful neighborhoods you'll ever see. There are plenty of things to do here whether you're into sports or arts and culture.

Marietta is located just outside of Atlanta but it doesn't feel like it. The city's motto "A city within a park" refers to how many parks there are within city limits including: Cobb County Heritage Park (which includes an amphitheater), Lake Allatoona (which has boating and fishing opportunities), Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park (where you can see Civil War monuments), Kennesaw State University Observatory (with telescopes for viewing stars), Kennesaw State University Botanical Gardens (which has exotic plants), and more.

The hospitals in Marietta include: St Joseph's Hospital, Wellstar Cobb Hospital & Medical Center, Wellstar Douglas Hospital & Medical Center & Wellstar Kennestone Hospital & Medical Center. Our staff makes daily flower delivery runs to all of these Marietta area hospitals. Every floral bouquet, plant or gift being sent to any of these Marietta area hospitals comes with our on-time delivery guarantee.

The city was named after Mary Cobb, the wife of U.S. Senator Thomas Willis Cobb. It became an important transportation hub due to its location on several railroads and highways. During World War II, it was also known as a military manufacturing center due to its proximity to Fort Benning and Camp Blanding.

Marietta has grown significantly since 2000 and continues to do so today thanks to new developments such as Avalon Marietta Mall and The Battery at SunTrust Park.
